Thai artisans + Italian designers = products 4 a sustainable future

Within the scope of the project being undertaken with the International Good Shepherd Foundation, a collaboration has been launched with a team of women designers who, under the coordination of Patrizia Scarzella and Valentina Downey, have donated their skills to the definition of a proposal for a series of products to be made in craft workshops managed by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Thailand, specifically in Bangkok, Nongkhai and Chiang Rai.

The new collection will be called DIGNITY DESIGN.
The words DIGNITY and DESIGN are the two keywords that express the spirit of the new collection:
Dignity of women’s work and Design as an instrument of economic growth and an expression of the quality of the products.

The social aims of the project have been shared by all the designers who have worked with great enthusiasm and with a great sense of involvement.

The team is composed of Patrizia Scarzella, Valentina Downey, Luisa Bocchietto, Paola Carallo, Anna Deplano, Julia Dozsa, Mikky Eger, Daniela Maurer, Ines Paolucci.

This constitutes an extraordinary opportunity for creative collaboration between designers and local female manufacturing skills, with the aim of making craft products intended for the European, American and Australian markets more competitive.

The target market is that of young people and new potential online consumers.
